About The Meditation and Yoga Retreat

This is an in-person, 2.5 hour yoga and meditation practice retreat.

The theme Sthirta or ‘steadiness/stillness’ has been chosen for this retreat. Sthirta is the quality we want to develop if we want deeper meditation which will help us to peacefully connect with our inner joy.

This 2.5 hour retreat is specially designed based on traditional yoga practice that encourages Asana (Body Regulation), Pranayama (breath regulation) and Dharna (meditation). All the asanas, pranayamas and meditation in this retreat are specifically desgned to create sthirta.

We will eat breakfast together after the practice is over.

Focus of the Yoga and Meditation Retreat

1

A 2.5 hour silent and mindful practice designed to increase stability, steadiness and stillness

2

Asanas specifically designed to improve freedom and movement of the pelvis, thereby improving the ability to sit pain-free and for longer times.

3

Pranayama designed to improve focus and balance to aid stillness.

4

Guided meditation to help connect with the already existing stillness and calm within

Benefits of a Long and Silent Practice

1. Rare Opportunity: It is a rare opportunity to have such a long and gentle reset in our busy lives

2. Release Tension and Increase Mobility: An asana practice with long holds and breath awareness allows for the muscles to open and loosen gradually and comfortably

3. Calm Mind and Nervous Sytem: A long practice provides enough space for the nervous system to get a reset and for the mind to calm down

4. Reconnect with Self: A true opportunity to get aligned and in touch with your mind, body and the inner space of silence and stillness.

5. Supportive Space: A space to freely practice as per your capacity with the gentle guidance of facilitators and amidst a supportive community.
