Madhuja Sawant : Psychologist & Counselor
Therapeutic Philosophy
Madhuja believes that the gateway to peace is by piercing through the truth. Each one of us lives a truth, a reality, that’s unique to us. This is what shapes us, our perceptions, and also gives birth to our coping mechanisms & survival strategies. She believes that one has to sit with one’s truth, face it with compassion, and at times, with brutal honesty, for one’s authentic version to thrive.
She feels that the counselling process is just the beginning of uncovering that profound truth which resides within us; it’s an opportunity to meet versions of oneself that need a place at the table, so as to be seen, heard, understood, accepted and maybe, even be released from their suffering.
She uses an eclectic approach towards counselling, deriving intervention techniques especially from CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, analytical psychology, but also draws inspiration from mindfulness practices & other alternative spiritual principles; focusing on creating a structured healing, tailor-made for each individual being.
